As busy as we get each day, we still want to prepare a decent and hearty meal for our loved ones. While not all people have the luxury of time to cook extravagant dinners, we can elect to cook more straightforward, time-saving recipes which are just as good. If you are pressed for time, try these easy yet tasty 5-ingredient chicken recipes for dinner!

Easy Broccoli and Chicken Casserole

What you need:

1 can condensed broccoli cheese soup
1 package chicken stuffing mix
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Mix together broccoli cheese soup (don’t dilute!) Prepare the chicken stuffing mix according to the directions in the package then add it to the baking dish. Top with cheddar cheese. Cover and bake in a pre-heated oven (350F) for 20 minutes. When ready, remove cover and continue baking for another 15 minutes. Allow to cool for several minutes before serving.
Apricot Spiced Chicken

What you need:

4 boneless and skinless chicken breast halves
1/3 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup chilli sauce
1 tablespoon hot mustard
Salt to taste
Combine apricot preserves, chilli sauce, mustard and salt (you can season with pepper if desired) in a saucepan and stir together over medium heat for approximately 3 minutes, or until heated through. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray. Put the chicken in the baking pan and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes per side, brushing generously with hot apricot sauce during the last few minutes of cooking. Allow to cool and sit for a few minutes before serving.
Mexican-Style Chicken Rice

1 can diced tomatoes with onions
1 pack Mexican-style rice and rice mix
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
2 cups cubed chicken breasts, cooked
2 tablespoons butter
Melt the butter in a skillet and cook the rice and pasta mixture for 5 minutes or until browned. Add the tomatoes (with liquid), some water (about 3/4 cup) and the contents of this rice seasoning packet. Bring the mixture to a boil. Lower heat and continue cooking for 10 minutes. When ready, stir in the chicken and jalapeno. Cover and cook until liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
